🌟 Empowering Women Leaders in Tech 🌟
Our vision is clear: Every talented individual deserves an equal opportunity to contribute, grow, and thrive—both personally and professionally. Without empowering nearly half of the workforce, we risk overlooking extraordinary talent that could drive innovation and success. Together, let’s champion inclusivity to unlock the full potential of our teams and industries.
BE ALL YOU CAN BE! 💪🤝🫶
A Look Back: Celebrating Impactful Initiatives
In October last year, we had the honor of hosting Vanessa Eriksson on our podcast—a true trailblazer and advocate for gender equality in tech. Vanessa is the founder of Girls in Tech Nordics (GiTN), an organization established in 2017 to inspire and support young girls and women in pursuing careers in STEM.
Through GiTN, Vanessa and her team address the underrepresentation of women in tech by fostering an inclusive environment and offering mentorship to girls aged 13–16 and young women in universities. At BayInCo, we applaud initiatives like GiTN that go beyond policy changes to tackle systemic challenges at their roots, creating a sustainable impact on career perceptions and opportunities.

Key Trends Shaping Women’s Role in Tech
- Representation in Leadership
Women are making strides, with leaders like Fei-Fei Li (Stanford) and Clara Shih (Salesforce AI) driving change. Yet, challenges remain—only 25% of C-suite leaders are women, and racial minority representation is even lower.
- Engagement with Generative AI
68% of women in tech actively use generative AI tools. However, gaps in access to training persist, underscoring the need for robust reskilling programs to ensure women thrive in this evolving field.
- Cultural Shifts Toward Flexibility
Diversity, hybrid models, and remote work are creating more inclusive environments. However, systemic shifts are needed to achieve true equity.
Notable Initiatives Driving Change
✨ Global Conferences & Networks: Events like the European Women in Tech Conference and WomenTech Global Awards spotlight achievements and inspire new policies.

✨ Corporate Commitments: Companies like Cisco, Adobe, and Microsoft are advancing gender diversity through leadership programs and by placing women in pivotal innovation roles.
✨ Reskilling for the Future: With AI transforming industries, reskilling programs in AI, cloud computing, and data science are equipping women with critical skills to close gaps and drive innovation.
Challenges to Overcome
Despite progress, women in tech still face:
⚡ Biases in hiring and promotion.
⚡ The “broken rung” on the corporate ladder.
⚡ Microaggressions in the workplace.
⚡ Disproportionate impacts from tech layoffs.
